Introduction to TrackSSL

TrackSSL.com is a powerful SSL certificate management platform designed to simplify monitoring, alerting, and managing SSL/TLS certificates across your domains. Whether you’re managing a single website or a complex infrastructure, TrackSSL.com ensures your certificates remain valid and secure, preventing downtime and ensuring trust in your online services.

Key features

1. SSL certificate monitoring

Efficiently manage and monitor all your SSL certificates in one place. The SSL Certificate Management dashboard offers a clear overview of your certificate statuses, including expiration dates and renewal reminders.

  • Public SSL certificate monitoring: Monitor your public SSL certificates to guarantee they are up-to-date and compliant with security standards, helping protect your website and users.
  • Private SSL certificate monitoring: Ensure the security of your internal communications by monitoring certificates that are only accessible on your internal networks. Track their validity to prevent disruptions in your network.

2. Notifications

Stay on top of SSL certificate expirations and critical updates with customizable notification settings.

  • Expiration alerts: Get notified as your certificates approach their expiration date. You can choose when to start receiving alerts, with options ranging from 60 days to just 1 day before expiry.
  • Change alerts: Receive updates whenever there are changes to your SSL certificates, such as renewals, updates, or misconfigurations.
  • Scheduling: Customize when your notifications are sent, ensuring they arrive at a time that suits your workflow.
  • Multiple notification channels: Set up alerts to be delivered via email, Slack, Microsoft Teams, or integrate with your own systems using Webhooks.

3. API access

Integrate TrackSSL with your existing systems or automate SSL management using our secure and flexible API. The API allows you to manage your SSL certificates programmatically, making it easier to maintain large-scale environments.

  • API tokens: Generate and manage API tokens to authenticate requests. API tokens should be used with the Authorization header, prefixed with the Bearer keyword, as shown in the example: curl --header 'Authorization: Bearer {ApiToken}' https://app.trackssl.com/api/v1/hosts
    • Creating a token: Simply provide a descriptive name for the token (optional) and click ‘Create Token.’
    • Managing tokens: View a list of all existing API tokens, including the description, creation date, and last used status. You can delete any token no longer needed.
  • Automated certificate tracking: Use the API to add, update, and manage certificates across your domains or infrastructure.

4. Agents

Manage your private certificate agents efficiently with TrackSSL. Agents are essential for monitoring SSL certificates that are not accessible over the public internet.

  • Create a new agent: Each agent represents an on-premise server that checks the status of your private certificates.
    • Agent configuration: Each agent runs a Docker container that gathers information about internally-accessible certificates and sends this data to the TrackSSL dashboard for centralized management.
    • Agent name: Provide a unique name for your agent, which could be a host name, network name, or location. This name is required to help identify the agent easily.
  • Existing agents: View and manage your current agents in the list below, which includes details such as the agent name, creation date, and associated token for authentication.

6. Enhanced certificate management

TrackSSL offers enhanced tools to manage SSL certificates at scale.

  • Bulk management: Efficiently handle large numbers of certificates using our bulk upload and management tools.
  • Detailed reporting: Generate detailed reports on SSL certificate statuses, expiration trends, and potential issues.
